Who are we?
Early Music Colorado is a community of professional and amateur early music performers, students, enthusiasts, supporters, and audience members who share a love for music written before 1750 performed with deep understanding and respect for the traditions and practices of those early times. EMC is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, formed in 1994, based in Boulder, Colorado, and receives no government funding. EMC is an entirely volunteer organization with no paid administrative staff and is primarily supported by the generosity of individual donor members.
What do we do?
The EMC website provides a central clearinghouse for information of interest to anyone who loves early music. It features an up to the minute calendar of concerts and events, a directory of teachers, instrument makers, supplies, and services, and a growing list of venues suitable for early music performances. EMC's e-mail list provides a weekly update of what's happening in early music around the region. Through EMC's affiliate program it attempts to enhance the marketing impact of professional quality performers and groups among the early music community.
