Karl Reque
Karl Reque received his BA in Music
Education and viola from Arizona State University and studied
Early Music Performance at Windham College with Joseph Iadone, Russell
Oberlin and Richard Taruskin. He continued his viola da gamba studies
with Shirley Marcus in Los Angeles and with Susan Iadone in New York. He
teaches recorder and strings privately and at the Augustana Institute of
Music. He performs on early and modern strings with local groups
including Musica Sacra Chamber Orchestra, Mostly Strauss Orchestra, A
String Affair, Sotto Voce, Diverse Passions and Fiori Musicali. He has
taught at various chapter meetings and workshops of the Denver Chapter
of the American recorder Society, Breckenridge Early Music Festival,
Colorado Early Music Festival and Connecticut Early Music
Festival.
